TAMPA, Florida - On the last night of the RNC Thursday, dozens of protesters gathered one last time to get their message out to delegates.
The group, including those from the Occupy Movement, converged on the intersection of Whiting and Ashley. This is where a number of delegates walked through when they left the Forum. The protesters beat on drums, chanted, and even yelled profanities at some of the delegates walking by.
There was a heavy police presence as officers on bikes, horses, and on foot surrounded the protesters. They blocked off streets to keep everyone safe and to contain the group. The protesters were allowed to have their impromptu gathering and were guided back to the direction of Romneyville, where many had camped out.
No injuries or arrests were reported.
