Orlando, FL -- After defeating Republican Connie Mack IV for a third term in the U.S. Senate, Democrat Bill Nelson told supporters it is now time to bring this country together.
During a brief acceptance speech in Orlando Tuesday night, Nelson said Americans are tired of the division and want unity. Nelson went on to say that Mack "is my opponent, not my enemy."
Nelson closed by saying holding public office involves public trust that he will honor.
Nelson, who is 70 years old, is the state's senior senator.
