Ruskin, FL -- Three men were killed on US Hwy 41 early Sunday morning when their SUV flipped ejecting the driver and passengers.
According to the FHP, around 3:10 a.m., the Ford Expedition was heading north on US Hwy 41, north of Valroy Road, when for unknown reasons the driver lost control. The SUV entered the grass median and began overturning.
All three men, 29-year-old Jesus James, of Gibsonton, 27-year-old Abdiel Cruz, of Ruskin, and 29-year-old Eri Venegas-Zuniga, of Wimauma, were ejected and died at the scene.
Detectives were unable to determine who was driving at the time of the crash. None of them were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
It is unclear yet if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation at this time.
