Tampa, FL-- Bucs' new tight end Dallas Clark was on the practice field Tuesday, while Kellen Winslow was on a plane to Seattle to play for the Seahawks.
Bucs' head coach Greg Schiano declined to talk about Winslow, and why he traded him to Seattle for a low draft choice. He said he preferred to talk about the Bucs who were on the field.
Dallas Clark missed much of the previous two seasons, but looked good in practice, and said he's ready to contribute.
"Injuries are part of the game, and I've had a couple of down years," Clark said after Tuesday's workout. "It is what it is... It's not slowing me down, I don't feel like I'm hampered by anything... I still feel like I can come out and perform every day and that's what I'm working hard to do."
"I believe wholehearedly that's he's going to return to form, and play the way he's capable of playing," said Schiano. "And I think what we need, we're going to ask him to do... And I think it's important to have a strong, veteran presence in that tight end room as well."
The Bucs will have one more OTA this week, on Thursday.
