Curtis Jiles is accused of hiring some of his own studies to perform seuxal acts with him for money
LAKELAND, Florida - A Polk County teacher's aid from Tenoroc High School is accused of hiring some of his own students to have sex at school. Curtis Jiles, 30, is charged with paying, or attempting to pay at least four students to engage in oral sex, both on and off campus.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says in one instance Jiles is believed to have had sex with a student in the band room bathroom. In another case, he's accused of following a school bus then offering to pay a student who got off to allow him to perform oral sex in the back seat of his car.
The allegations involve students between the ages of 15 and 17-years old.
"It's disgusting conduct," said Sheriff Grady Judd. "He needs to go to jail and then he needs to go to prison."
Sheriff Judd says at one point Jiles arranged though his attorney to turn himself in. Judd says he has since fired that attorney and is now on the run.
"I've got news for Mr. Jiles, you're going to the Polk County Jail and there's going to be a whole lot of people looking for you ... because you're a real bad guy," said Sheriff Judd.
Investigators say Jiles was the target of a previous investigation in 2007, but detectives did not have enough evidence to file charges in the case.
Jiles is wanted on two counts of sexual battery by a person in custodial authority, unlawful sexual activity with minors, procuring a person under the age of 18 for prostitution and soliciting a person under the age of 18 to engage in sexual battery.
