Pinellas Park, Florida -- Detectives investigating the murder of a man found during a fire at his home on May 29 have arrested two people in connection with his death.
During their investigation, detectives discovered Gregg Daugherty and Marita Hutchinson had been staying with 69-year-old Gary Yarnell for a short time before his death. After his murder, investigators found out they had left the state and issued warrants for their arrest.
On June 30, Gregg Daugherty ran from a DUI checkpoint near London, Kentucky while driving Yarnell's stolen 1999 Toyota Solera. It was later found abandoned by a nearby home where Hutchinson was arrested.
Daugherty, 46, was found on July 16 at another home near London, Kentucky and was arrested without incident.
Hutchinson, 37, has been extradited back to Pinellas County and was booked Wednesday for the First Degree Murder of Gary Yarnell and two counts of Dealing in Stolen Property.
Daugherty is still in the Laurel County Jail while he awaits extradition back to Pinellas County. He will charged with First Degree Murder and Grand Theft.
