MANATEE CO., Florida -- All public schools in the Manatee County School District will be closed on Monday, August 27 due to the threat posed by Tropical Storm Isaac.
All students and employees of the school district are advised to take precautions and stay home until the threat has passed.
Three Manatee District Schools have been designated emergency shelters and will open at 10 A.M. on Sunday, August 26.
The three designated shelters are:
Nolan Middle School
6615 Greenbrook Blvd. Bradenton, FL (Special Needs) (Pet Friendly)
Manatee High School
1000 32nd Street West Bradenton, FL (Pet Friendly)
Braden River High School
6545 S R 70 East Bradenton, FL
Monday's school closings in Manatee County include all before and after-school activities, athletic practices, and games, as well as a regularly scheduled meeting of the Manatee County School Board.
