BOSTON (CBS) - A Medford man is accused of hurting a woman at a Madonna concert in Boston Tuesday night, because he grew impatient waiting for a beer.

Jeffrey Jansen, 37, was arraigned Wednesday in Boston Municipal Court on assault charges.

The victim, 34-year-old Hetyene Costa from Wellesley, told police she was standing in line at a concession stand at the TD Garden when Jansen, who was standing behind her, became angry that she was about to get served before him.

"This guy was trying to be served and the lady wasn't serving him, so he got really nervous," says Costa.

"As she was waiting to be served, she heard the suspect loudly state, 'If you take her first, I swear to God I will pound someone's face in!'" police said in a statement Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Jansen then took a swipe at the beer tap handle, sending it flying into Costa's face.

Garden security called police who arrested Jansen.

The woman was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment. She got five stitches, and had to return to the hospital Wednesday for a CAT scan.

Costa ended up missing the concert. "I'm a huge fan," she says. "It was my birthday gift from my husband, so he got really special tickets."

Bail was set at $500 for Jansen, who was ordered to stay away from the victim and the TD Garden.

He's due back in court October 4.
