Charlotte, N.C.-- Former Governor Charlie Crist took the stage on Thursday night, the final night of the Democratic National Convention.
Crist related to, and quoted former President Ronald Reagan, saying, "I did not leave the Republican party, it left me."
Crist touched on the necessity "many challenges."
He urged for focus on creating good middle class jobs, "so we can have an economy that is built to last," he said.
Other challenges Crist mentioned include rebuilding roads and bridges, improving public schools, and, something "particularly important to him and his state of Florida"- the challenge of saving medicare and social security, "to keep our promise to our seniors."
