Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police say the bicyclist involved in an accident on Bruce B. Downs and I-75 Monday afternoon has died of his injuries.

Police say the bicyclist was crossing Bruce B. Downs between Commerce Palms Boulevard and I-75 south entrance ramp when Stephanie Miller was unable to stop her car in time to avoid hitting the 67-year-old man.

The still unidentified man was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital. The accident is still under investigation but detectives say it appears the driver was not at fault.
