A bloodied Tom Brady.
It was one of the most memorable images from Week 1 of the NFL season.
Around the country, men cheered while women jeered at the thought of pretty boy Brady having to endure (gasp!) a broken nose after getting hit by the Titans' Kamerion Wembley in the second quarter of the Patriots' 34-13 win Sunday.
Whether it was broken or not, not even Brady could say Monday.
"It doesn't look pretty, but it probably looks a lot worse than it feels," Brady told WEEI. "Logan (Mankins) played on a torn ACL last year, so I figured I can play with a scratched nose."
Which Brady did to the tune of 236 passing yards and two touchdowns in the victory. The fact that Brady fought through the scratch impressed at least one of his teammates.
"He's such a good-looking guy," receiver Wes Welker said, via the Boston Herald. "Obviously, he gets banged up, and he's probably the toughest metrosexual I've ever come across."
And in other metrosexual news ... there's an election this year.
