Showers are growing east of I-75 and will increase in size and coverage as the move west into the evening. Some of the heaviest rain was over norther Highlands county. Expect more heavy rain with gust s to 30 mph through sunset.

Over the weekend afternoon storms will be widely scattered Saturday and less so Sunday.  A cool front will move in Sunday evening and this will drop rain chances next week.

Tonight Scattered showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 75. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming east after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Light and variable wind becoming northeast around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday Night Isolated showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. North northwest wind around 6 mph becoming east northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. East northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
