Watching The Tropics, Sunny & Breezy Tuesday
Clear Skies and beautiful again this evening! Look for low temperatures to be cool again around 65 degrees in Tampa, and the winds still breezy at times from the Northeast 10- 20mph.
Tuesday will be sunny in the morning, and partly cloudy in the afternoon. High temperatures are expected around 87 degrees. It will be breezy again with the Northeast winds around 10 - 20mph. We will also see a slim, but isolated shower possible over the 10 News Viewing Area at around 10% coverage at best.
We are watching what should be "Sandy" developing south of Cuba over the next 24 hours. Right now Models are in pretty good agreement to take the system over the Bahamas Friday and Saturday. The closest the system would come to Florida (with current Models this far out) looks to be Friday morning with the possibility of some Tropical Storm Force wind gusts around Miami and the Southeast part of the State.
As always, anytime there is a threat of a Tropical System coming close in proximity to the State, please make sure you are checking on the forecast each day this week so if anything changes in the expected path or strength of the storm, you will have the latest details as they develop!
