Palmetto, Florida -- Manatee County deputies are on scene investigating a body found in Palmetto Thursday morning.
Authorities say a couple found the body of a black female in the 2900 block of 24th Avenue E. around 6:20 this morning while on a morning walk.

Detectives are treating the case as a homicide after trauma was found to have been done to the body.
