A fresh, fall airmass is moving into the area and bringing cooler and drier air. That means high temperatures that will be 10-12 degrees below average today. Lows tonight will dip to the low 40s north and near 50 in Tampa so make sure that the heat is turned on this evening and that you have a jacket ready for tomorrow.
It will be cool through Thursday with dry conditions, then a warm up begins Friday with temperatures headed toward the mid 70s by the weekend.
Today: Partly to mostly cloudy along the coast with more sunshine east of I75. Winds will blow NW 15 mph with highs only 67-70.
Tonight: Partly cloudy and chilly with temperatures in the low 40s north and near 50-53 Tampa southward.
