Tampa, Florida -- Here's a great way to treat your family to some holiday entertainment while you're helping the community.

"Elf the Musical" is partnering with Metropolitan Ministries for a holiday food drive.   You can save $20 off tickets to the Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday performances at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts by donating a non-perishable food item now through show time at the Straz Center ticket office.  "Elf" will play at Straz Nov. 20-25.

One discounted ticket is allowed per donated food item, with a limit of four discounted tickets. (Not applicable to prior sales.) 

You can also receive a voucher for those discounted tickets by donating items at the Metropolitan Ministries donation tent at 400 W. Palm Avenue in Tampa.

"Elf the Musical" is based on the hit holiday comedy "Elf" starring Will Ferrell and tells the story of Buddy, a human who is raised in the North Pole with Santa's elves.
