St. Petersburg, Florida -- A four-month long investigation concluded Friday with the arrest of over 40 individuals who were dealing narcotics in the St. Petersburg area.
St. Pete Police Narcotics detectives conducted a city-wide round-up just after 8 o'clock this morning and brought in 44 suspects on various charges.

The suspects were then interviewed by detectives on their knowledge of gun-related crimes and the illegal possession of and/or distribution of firearms.
A total of 17 arrests were made as a result of the round-up, eight of which were from the prescribed list of suspects, and nine others were made later due to accompanying circumstances.
