This week has seen several records broken.  Bartow and Carrollwood reached 88 this past week.  Sizzling summer temperatures in January will continue this weekend. Today's record is 81 in St. Petersburg and Brooksville.  We could tie a record of 82 in Tampa.

Temperatures will ease Monday back to the upper 70's but look for a bigger drop Thursday into the low 70's behind a cold front.  Not much rain will come of it, so expect a fairly dry week.  Even with the cooler end to the upcoming work week, temperatures will still be above the average high of 70 degrees.
