Winter Haven, Florida-- Nosy neighbor? Not exactly. Three Winter Haven men were arrested Friday after a neighbor saw their car parked in a victim's driveway. Recording their license plate paid off, because the men were reportedly inside taking over $20,000 in cash, jewelry and electronics from the home.
According to reports, the victim was not at her home off of 19th St. NW during the time of the robbery. But when she got there, she found it had been ransacked.
She called police and they made an immediate canvass of the neighborhood to see if anyone had additional information.
The neighbor's sighting of the suspect's vehicle, a Silver Hyundai, sitting in the victim's driveway, ultimately lead to the suspects' arrests.
After receiving the plate number, a detective spotted the car along 1st St. and Ave. O, N. Upon pulling them over, the detective could see the victim's stolen laptop, as well as the other stolen items, reports say.
The driver, 17-year-old Harold L. Jasper and two occupants, 19-year-old Rashaad M. Jones and 18-year-old Sedrick L. Cooper were arrested and charged with felony Armed Burglary, Grand Theft more than $20,000 and Grand Theft of a Firearm.
Jasper was also charged violating probation for the burglary.
