Clearwater, Florida -- Many come to Florida to enjoy our warm, sunny weather. I spoke with a family from New York who said that winter weather up north is one they don't miss at all, especially right now.
"I'm so happy I'm here and that I don't have to shovel, I don't have to drive in it, I don't have to worry about going to ShopRite and having a million cars in the parking lot and everybody acting like it's the end of the world," said Angelo Rivera.

That major winter storm in the northeast is a reminder that keeps the snowbirds flocking to Florida every year.
"I'm very glad to be here. In fact, I feel bad because I have some children up there that have to deal with it... but I'm glad I'm here, because I can't."
New Yorker Angelo Rivera said that's exactly why he decided to move here a year ago, just to enjoy the snow from afar.
"I like snow... but from a distance. I'll take it in pictures. That's fine with me!"
