(USA Today)-- Police have arrested a fugitive felon wanted for killing three people last week during a pre-dawn shooting on the Las Vegas Strip that ended with a fiery crash.
Las Vegas police Capt. Chris Jones said Ammar Harris, 26, was arrested Thursday by a team of police and federal agents in North Hollywood, the Associated Press reported.
Harris, a self-professed pimp, was arrested at an associate's home about noon PT (3 p.m. ET), according to the Las Vegas Sun.
An extradition hearing is scheduled for Monday morning in Los Angeles.
Harris was charged with three counts of murder after police said he fired several shots from a Range Rover into a Maserati about 4:30 a.m. on Feb. 21 as the vehicles sped along up the main drag of casinos and hotels.

The driver of the Maserati, Kenneth Cherry Jr., an aspiring rapper from Oakland, lost control and ran a red light, slamming into a taxi that burst into flames and triggering a six-vehicle crash. The 27-year-old Cherry, who went by the stage name Kenny Clutch, died of gunshot wounds, and a passenger was wounded in the arm.
The 62-year-old cab driver and his passenger, a 48-year-old Washington state businesswoman, died in the fiery crash. Four people in other vehicles were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The black SUV was found Saturday in the garage at Harris' home, a gated apartment complex off the Strip. Police said the shooting stemmed from an altercation between Cherry and Harris in a valet area of the upscale Aria resort, a block from the crash scene.
Harris was driving with three women when police say he shot Cherry. One of the passengers, 22-year-old Tineesha Lashun Howard, of Miami, fled and was named a person of interest. Authorities located her Wednesday night, saying only that she was not in Nevada.
Howard, who also goes by the name Yenesis "Yeni" Alfonzo, has been arrested multiple times on charges including prostitution, trespassing, possession of a stolen vehicle and grand larceny.
Police are examining "many online displays of bravado" in which Harris "boasts of a high-rolling lifestyle of luxury cars, prostitutes and boat trips with scantily clad women," the Associated Press said.
One YouTube video features Harris wearing a red baseball cap and white shirt, with expensive sunglasses tucked in the collar. He flashes a stack of bills and asks viewers if they want to help him count the money.
