Lutz, Florida -- A substitute teacher for Pasco County Schools was arrested for a DUI Thursday night after she was seen driving without her headlights on in front of Denham Oaks Elementary School.
Once pulled over, the deputy reported Leah Deyoung's eyes were bloodshot, glassy and had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. When asked if she had been drinking Deyoung told the deputy, with slurred speech, she had rinsed her mouth with Listerine, according to the arrest report.
During a field sobriety test, the deputy said she was unable to maintain her balance or touch the tip of her nose.
Deyoung, 37, was arrested and the two small children riding with her were picked up by a family member.
