Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Police in Tarpon Springs have identified the young man involved in a serious ATV accident over the weekend.

Nineteen-year-old Ian Carlos Ondina-Gonzalez, who lives on Lake Avoca Drive in Tarpon Springs, is listed in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.

Police say Ondina-Gonzalez was traveling from his home to the clubhouse area of the Pointe Alexis subdivision when he failed to negotiate a turn on South Pointe Alexis Drive. His ATV left the road and struck a tree.

Police say Ondina-Gonzalez was not wearing a helmet.
