(USA Today)-- Pregnant with her first child, Fergie says she's not stressing too much about parenthood.

"I have no idea what I'm doing!" the singer said on Thursday's Good Morning America. "I'm just going to play it by ear and see how things go, and let the natural instincts kick in."

She is, however, doing things to ease her pregnancy. 

"I've been doing acupuncture, which really helps with that [morning sickness], and Chinese herbs," Fergie, 37, said.

She also laughed about husband Josh Duhamel's description of her reaction when the couple received their big baby news. 

"I know that my husband told everybody what I said, my quote when we found out, 'This (blank) just got real," she recounted. "It's true when that moment occurs to you that, yeah, there's going to be a human being growing inside of you. It's reality. It's amazing."

Fergie, born Stacy Ann Ferguson, announced on Twitter last month that she and Duhamel were expecting, telling fans, "Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump"

The couple married in 2009.
