Tampa, Florida -- A man accused of killing two Tampa Police officers has been sentenced to life in prison for murder and robbery in an
unrelated fatal shooting.
Earlier this month, Dontae Morris was convicted of shooting Rodney Jones back in May of 2010.
A judge on Friday sentenced Morris to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Officials say that one month after Morris killed Jones, he shot and killed
officers Jeffrey Kocab and David Curtis. Prosecutors are seeking a
death sentence in that case.
Morris also faces separate murder trials in
the killings of Harold Wright and Derek Anderson.
