(USA TODAY) -- The Philadelphia Police Department has released surveillance video of
a man shooting into and through the door of a Chinese food store. The
police are asking the public to help identify the suspect who fled the
scene after wounding three men.
The graphic video shows the
victims struggling to keep the door closed as the gunman fires into the
door repeatedly. Bullets zoom through the store as the people inside
scramble to keep the shooter out without getting shot.
All three victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police report.
Police
describe the suspect as a black male, 6' to 6'2" tall with a medium
build, a beard or goatee and wearing a dark sweatshirt, possibly with a
Nike emblem on the front, dark colored pants and baseball batting
gloves.
Philadelphia police posted the video on its website. The
department is among more than 40 across the country that are releasing
videos to the public to get help identifying and catching criminals.
Others include: Kansas City, Detroit, Houston, Baltimore, Tucson,
Milwaukee and Minneapolis.
