Nokomis, Florida -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested three men for operating a methamphetamine lab in a shed outside a home in Nokomis.

Deputies conducting surveillance on the suspected drug house on March 22, witnessed resident Jerome Brown, Randall Langford, and Walter "Ricky" Lint bringing chemicals used to cook meth in and out of the shed. When deputies determined the suspects were starting the production process they took the men into custody.

Due to the volatile nature of meth production the Sarasota County Fire Department was called to clear the scene of any immediate danger and one neighboring home was temporarily evacuated.

All three suspects are charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of listed chemicals. Brown is also charged with tampering with evidence for throwing items used in the manufacturing process out the window, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for the rifle found in his shed.
