Tampa, Fl. - Students at The Academy Prep Center of Tampa are fighting childhood cancer by shaving their heads!
Along with the Pediatric Cancer Foundation's Cut for a Cure campaign, Academy Prep is hosting a head-shaving event to benefit the organization and Academy Prep's Student Scholarship Fund.
Students have been donating to be the one to hold the clippers and shave Academy Prep VP of Operations Lincoln Tamayo's head. The goal is $50,000. The fundraiser runs through May 3.
Four sixth grade students and a fifth grade student are also shaving their heads along with trustee Charlie Poe mentor Thaddeus Bullard. They came on The Morning Show Friday to take off a few of their locks.
If you're interested in donating to the fundraiser, you can do so online at http://pcfcutforacure.org.
