TALLAHASSEE, Florida (AP) - No one in Florida is getting a share of this week's near-record Powerball jackpot, but four people in the state did win smaller prizes.
The Florida Lottery announced that four tickets purchased in Florida won $1 million each by matching the first five numbers but then missing the Powerball. The tickets were sold in Key Biscayne, Pensacola, Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale.
Three winning tickets in two states matched all the numbers for a $448.4 million Powerball jackpot, including one sold in a supermarket in a New Jersey coastal community hit hard by Superstorm Sandy last year.
The other winning tickets were sold in central New Jersey and in Minnesota.
