St. Petersburg, Florida -- A verbal argument ends up with one 15-year-old in the hospital due to gun wounds.
Around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14th a small group of young men were involved in a verbal confrontation with the victim in the 1700 block of 26th Street South.
According to reports, during the argument a 13-year-old boy pulled out a small caliber handgun and fired multiple rounds, striking the victim several times.
The victim then fled to a near-by home and sought help from the residents who called 911.
The victim was transported to Bayfront Medical Center and later transferred to All Children's Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
On August 16, around 1:30 p.m., 13-year-old turned himself in to homicide detectives at police headquarters. He will be transported to the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with one count of attempted 1st degree murder.
