Tampa, Florida -- A recent vote by the Florida Sheriffs Association in favor of Florida's 'stand your ground' law was not as decisive as it appeared.
Last week, members of the Florida Sheriffs Association voted on the Florida 'stand you ground' law just days after House Speaker Will Weatherford asked for input from law enforcement about changes needed to the law.
Recently elected President of the Florida Sheriffs Association Sheriff Grady Judd said Florida sheriffs had voted unanimously to support the Florida self defense law as currently written.
According to The Tampa Tribune, there was confusion as to what the question was and that several sheriffs of large counties including Hillsborough, Orange and Broward were not even in attendance.
