Tarpon Springs, Florida -- The main 24-inch sewer line at Live Oak Street and Safford Avenue has failed, leading to the closure of a section of Live Oak Street.
That line carries millions of gallons of wastewater to the water treatment plant.
Crews have set up a series of bypass pumps and detours around the affected area which includes Spruce Street, Athens Street and Cedar Street from Alternate 19 to Safford Avenue.
In addition, Live Oak Street is reduced to one lane of traffic in each location.
It's not clear how long it will take city contractors to complete repairs on the sewer line.
