The countdown to the St. Pete pier vote is on and supporters of the Lens project hope to get your attention.
Beginning today you will start seeing commercials with a pretty clear message.

This group wants to see this now-closed pier replaced with the sweeping new Lens design.
They're banking on the visual power of television to convince voters the Lens is the way to go.
Opponents from the nonprofit group commonly called "Stop the Lens" say the design doesn't fit with the city and doesn't offer enough for people to do.
Remember, the language on the ballot Tuesday will be confusing.
What you're really voting on is whether to kill the Lens project.
So if you want to kill the lens project vote yes.
If you want to say no to shutting down the project and do want to keep going with building it, you need to vote no.
