CITRUS CO., Florida -- A Virginia man is under arrest after allegedly jumping the counter at a Citrus County CVS pharmacy and stabbing three men.
Witnesses say 31-year-old Jacob Kleintank was seen milling about the store Saturday afternoon. He later returned with an out of state prescription and tried to fill it. When employees refused, he left the store.
According to an affidavit, he returned after midnight and hopped the counter of the pharmacy with a knife in his hand and said, "Give me the drugs."
Kleintank allegedly stabbed three men who were able to subdue him until deputies arrived.
Two of the men were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The third man was treated at the scene by EMS.
Deputies interviewed Kleintank's girlfriend, who says she's not aware of a history of substance abuse. She says Kleintank told her he was going to the bathroom, but instead got into their rental car and left. She didn't know where he was going and couldn't reach him by phone.
Kleintank is being charged with one count of armed robbery and three counts of aggravated battery without intent to kill.
