A mid and upper level low is throwing a wrench into what would otherwise be a mainly dry forecast. It has been drifting northward across the Florida Straights and south Florida over the past 24 hours and is now centered over the northern Keys. It will help to form a few showers in our area. mainly south of Tampa from Sarasota to Arcadia. A few showers are possible in SE Hillsborough county and southern Polk county. Overall rain chance is 30% south of Tampa, 10% north. Highs today will top out in the low 90s.
Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming southeast 5-12 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Thursday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 8 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming west northwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. West southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.
Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.
