Bartow, Florida -- The suspect in the murder of a Lakeland Police officer listened as witnesses told the court on Tuesday why he should not be released from jail while awaiting trial for allegedly killing officer Arnulfo Crispin.
Kyle Williams' lawyers want him released on bail while he awaits trial.
The 20-year-old suspect has been held in jail since Crispin, 25, was killed in December of 2011 when he attempted to search Williams and a handful of other people.

Prosecutors produced three eyewitnesses who say they were there when Williams unexpectedly produced a gun and shot Crispin.
The witnesses say they had no idea Williams was armed previous to the shooting.
The judge had not yet rendered a decision since lawyers were still waiting to hear from more witnesses.
