Zephyrhills, Florida -- Pasco deputies say a Zephyrhills mother is behind bars after tazering her adult daughter during an argument over housework.
48-year-old Cynthia Alexander was allegedly upset at how her daughter, 28-year-old Stephanie Thompson, had cleaned their house. Deputies say Alexander began punching Thompson, and Thompson tried scratching and pushing Alexander away.
That's when Alexander reportedly pulled a handheld tazer from the pocket of her shorts and fired it in Thompson's face, shocking her for several seconds.
Thompson got away and ran outside, where the two continued to argue until a neighbor intervened.
A responding deputy noticed the right side of Thompson's face was red and had what appeared to be a small burn mark near her nose. She refused treatment at the scene.
Alexander told investigators she only used the tazer in self-defense. She was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic battery, and also charged with an outstanding warrant for driving while license suspended or revoked.
