Apollo Beach, Florida -- A year-long investigation of tire and rim thefts in the southern part of Hillsborough County has led to an arrest.
Brian Dubien has been arrested after detectives obtained enough evidence to connect him to multiple thefts. On September 11, detectives set up surveillance on Dubien's residence and found a set of tires and rims in the bed of his truck. Detectives were able to pull Dubien over for a traffic stop and determined he had stolen the tires and rims 6 hours earlier from a subdivision in Riverview.
Reportedly, Dubien is also linked to 17 additional tire and rim thefts in the area including thefts at Panther Trace Subdivision, Rivercrest Subdivision and Fish Hawk Ranch Subdivision.
Detectives are still working on identifying any other thefts Dubien may have been involved. Dubien has been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail with no bond.
