Tampa, Florida-- Authorities are currently searching for the suspect of a shooting that may have stemmed from a road rage incident on U.S. 301 Monday evening.
According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office report, it was shortly after 6 p.m. when the two vehicles involved- a newer, white SUV and a Ford F150 pick-up truck- were driving eastbound on Causeway Blvd, approaching US 301.
Once both vehicles stopped at the US 301 traffic light, a Hispanic male reportedly got out of the SUV, walked up to the F150 and shot the victim, 45-year-old William Seago, two times.
Seago, who was sitting in the passenger seat, received injuries to his leg, chest and arm.
The driver of the F150, 45-year-old Kristen Craig, told officials she thinks she may have cut the suspect off while driving, and that the shooting was an act of road rage.
After the shots, reports say the suspect got back into his car and left, heading south on US 301.
Seago was taken to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with any information reference the suspect or this shooting is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
