Seffner, Florida -- Testimony began Tuesday in the case against a former Mango Elementary School teacher accused of having sex with a former student.
Ethel Anderson, who at one time was so highly regarded she won the Diversity School Teacher of the Year in 2011 for being one of the school's best, now faces several charges.
Prosecutors say Anderson offered to tutor the boy at her Riverview home back in December 2011, and that's where the sexual acts occurred. She was arrested three months later.

The boy, now 14, testified before the jury Tuesday.
"It was about the fifth Saturday I went over there and I just sat on the couch and we started doing sexual stuff... and from there on out it would all change," he said.
The boy's mother, who was the one who alerted authorities to the sexual relationship, also testified.
