Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Several requests came in for answers about a 35 m.p.h. speed limit posted on the newly widened portion of Keystone Rd. between East Lake Rd. and US 19. Drivers were concerned that the area might have been set up as a speed trap.
Pinellas County Public Works confirmed that the speed limit is going up within the next two to three months. While a public "opening" of the road was held a couple of months ago, the site is still being considered an active construction area. The new speed limit will be 45 m.p.h.
