Seminole Heights, Florida -- An anonymous tip from Crime Stoppers led Hillsborough County detectives to a marijuana grow operation.
Detectives obtained consent to search the home of Pedro Millares located on Duncan Avenue. While searching, detectives located two bedrooms converted for the sole purpose of cultivating marijuana. Detectives were able to seized:
- Twenty-two (22) marijuana plants
- Loose marijuana which, added with the plants, totaled 46.7 pounds
- Thirteen (13) lights and ballasts
The street value of the marijuana is approximately $50,000.
TECO also responded and located an illegal tap providing un-metered electricity to the residence. Millares who lives alone at the residence, was booked into the Orient Road Jail where he is being held without bond.
