Sarasota County, Florida -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men after following them on a retail crime spree that included thefts at six major stores.
After receiving information about two subjects stealing tools at Home Depot, detectives learned the men also committed thefts at two Lowe's locations. The suspects' vehicle was located in Sarasota yesterday and they were followed to Walgreens and several Walmart stores where they stole fishing rods and other items. After selling rods at Value Pawn earlier in the day, their run ended at America's Super Pawn when deputies took them into custody.
Both admitted their crimes plus a theft at another Walmart store.
Anthony Henry and Michael Rowe have been charged with grand theft, dealing in stolen property petit theft and fraud.
Additional charges are pending. Both men say they lost their jobs and needed money for drugs.
