Riverview, Florida -- It's decision day for a former Hillsborough County assistant principal fighting to restore his reputation and back pay.
Shawn Livingston was fired from his job at Rodgers Middle School, after the drowning death last fall of a special needs student there.
Initially, the Hillsborough Superintendent offered Livingston a teaching job, but he refused, because words like "incompetency" would still be on his record, so then Livingston was fired.
At an August hearing, Livingston told school board members he was not responsible for Jennie Caballero's death. The 11-year-old wandered out of her gym class and into a nearby pond.

The school board is scheduled to make their decision about Livingston this afternoon.
