Tampa, Florida -- A federal air marshal was busted in Nashville for using his camera to take up-skirt photos of female passengers.
Adam Bartsch was arrested Thursday morning on board a Southwest flight about to take off from Nashville to Tampa. When female travelers at Tampa International Airport heard about this story they were disgusted.
"It's very creepy....ugh," said Linda Mayne of New Orleans.
According to the arrest report, Bartsch was caught in the act by fellow passenger Rev Collazo.
"I said to him, 'You're a scum bag,' as a lady walked by, he turned over again and took some more pictures," Collazo told 10 News.
Collazo then notified a flight attendant and even snatched the phone away from Bartsch so he couldn't delete the photos.
Air marshals fly undercover and now Bartsch's future with the TSA is up in the air. He has been removed from his duties and the TSA is in the process of either suspending or terminating him.
Some travelers hope it's the latter because they expect air marshals to protect and serve, not snap and peak.
"They're supposed to be here to protect us, protect our interests," said Amy Churpita of Buffalo. "And they're busy doing other things that are very inappropriate."
