TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Tampa Police say two people have been found dead and a third person has been wounded after shots were fired in a residential area.
Tampa Police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said in a statement that shots were fired on 110th Avenue in the city shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday. She says homicide detectives subsequently determined there was an ongoing dispute between two families residing in the neighborhood that led to gunfire.
Authorities say one person was found dead in a roadway and a second in a home while the third person went to a hospital wound with serious injuries from a gunshot wound.
McElroy declined to identify the victims and police said no additional information would be released for several hours, citing the ongoing investigation.
