FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Miami Dolphins center and former Florida Gator Mike Pouncey was reportedly served with a grand jury subpoena less than an hour after Patriots beat the Dolphins 27-17, according to Sports Illustrated.
The subpoena is related to the Aaron Hernandez case, according to an anonymous source. Hernandez and Pouncey were former teammates at the University of Florida. The source tells Sports Illustrated that police are focusing on Hernandez's potential involvement in interstate gun trafficking.
A grand jury subpoena does not mean Pouncey, 24, has been or will be charged with a crime. Rather, law enforcement officials regard him as a material witness who could advance their case against Hernandez.
