Sarasota, Florida -- Several families say they were turned away from the Sarasota Pumpkin Festival at Payne Park in downtown Sarasota with what they thought were tickets for free admission.
Sarasota Pumpkin Festival organizer Lazarus Fernandez says people were confused by the tickets, which were handed out to local businesses to give away.
"You have to say, 'I need an adult tickets' or 'I need a children's ticket for the pumpkin festival.' All of the information is online," he said.
"It doesn't say anything about it on the passes, about a description between what's what ticket," said one frustrated festival goer. "It just says 'free admission' on it."
