Tampa, FL - Just last month there was a major controversy over plans to demolish the now historic Bro Bowl Skate Park.
The City of Tampa wanted to get rid of it and build a new city park. The 10 News Investigators discovered a community advocate, Fred Hearns, who was supporting the city's position, and was being paid by the developer and the city.
But now the Bro Bowl is skateboarding's first national landmark.
According to the Tampa Tribune, just last week the National Park Service announced on it's weekly announcement of sites to be named to the National Register of Historic Places.
