Hillsborough County, Florida -- A Mulberry man has been arrested for armed trespassing on private property after deputies say he was caught poaching deer in rural southeastern Hillsborough County.
While searching a wooded area, deputies discovered a pickup truck hidden in a secluded area matching the description of one known to be used by poachers, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The pickup was unoccupied, but contained hunting equipment, as well as remnants of what could have been recently killed animals.
A short time later, deputies say they found Dalton Gant and arrested him.
FWC officers cited Gant for taking and possessing game out of season and attempting to take game out of season. They confiscated several weapons, along with a skinned deer carcass.
